I myself had back problems for years. I even had a back operation. I’ve been practising yoga for 20 years and was terribly missing the practice I found in yoga. Coming from someone who had back problems and have to be very cautious with myself, I’m so glad I have found Qigong. It’s correcting my posture, it’s slow movements. I find a lot that I was doing at yoga, but far more gentle. Also, I found that of course with Qigong we are working with the energies and that’s something I really discover and love.
You don’t have to rush or push. Qigong lets you move safely within your limits, release tension, and build strength steadily. Even a few minutes of gentle practice can bring comfort and calm to your back and mind.
